Our Reiki classes
Reiki Class Requirements & Information
Class Overview
Our Reiki classes are designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the Western Usui Natural Method of Healing as well as the techniques, history and applications of more ancient forms of Reiki and Traditional Japanese Reiki.
Other tools, techniques and applications are NOT included in these classes.
This is to allow the student to have a clear understanding of what Reiki is without diluting it.
Students are, however, encouraged to combine Reiki with whatever else they do once they have completed their training.
Reiki I and II are never taught as a combined class.
Those who come to our Reiki classes tend to be more interested in the process and quality of the journey they experience.
Because of that, each Violet Flame Reiki student is treated as a potential Reiki Master.
Class Structure
We Recommend The Essential Reiki by Diane Stein as the proverbial Bible for the study of both Western Usui Reiki and Japanese Reiki Techniques.
Our students can now study the material at home on their own time.
While they are completing the book, they can arrange to meet with the Reiki Master for attunements, practice sessions and a review.
This can be completed in two three- to four-hour sessions.
The reason 2 sessions are required is because you need 4 attunements for Level I (although some Reiki Masters combine them, we do not... we feel the student benefit from each attunement individually.) we do not do more than 1 attunement on a student in one day.
So the Reiki Master would meet the first day for three or four hours... or more if it is appropriate.
Then the second day we meet for the last 2 attunements and to go over questions.
A 3- to 6-month break between the two levels is recommended to allow the student to fully integrate and practice using the Level I energy before moving on to Level II.
And then finally a year wait from then for the Master/Teacher level.
